In March 2021, the EDF Hydro Engineering Center (CIH) in partnership with the French Group EGIS signed the contract with Electric Power Plants to assume the role of technical consultant in the rehabilitation of the Uch-Kurgan hydro power plant in Kyrgyzstan.
The EDF / EGIS consortium will play the role of project management consultant for Electric Power Plant (EPP) for the rehabilitation of the Uch-Kurgan hydro power plant. The project aims to completely overhaul this 180 MW power station, located on the Naryn River and commissioned in 1962, as well as implement a capacity increase of 40 MW. The contract is set for a 5 years period.
This contract represents one more reference for EDF on the dynamic Central Asian market.
